Abandoned, Unclaimed and Forfeited goods:

Goods left in our possession, must be claimed and picked up within 90 days. We will attempt to contact the owner before 90 days passes. If we do not know who owns the goods, they will be kept in our 'Lost and Found' box for 90 days. We must be satisfied that the person picking up the goods actually owns the goods, or is entitled to claim the goods on behalf of another party. Representatives may be verified, suitable identification may be required, and goods may have to be signed for before they are released. Goods that have not been claimed within 90 days will be forfeited. Forfeited goods may be kept, used, sold, or disposed of in any manner we see fit. Forfeiture does not in any way mitigate any obligation to pay any monies owed to us. If goods have been released to a claimant, and another claimant comes forward, the second claimant will have to seek satisfaction from the first claimant. We are not under any obligation to refund any monies, or replace any goods, and we will not be liable for any loss or damages incurred due to any abandonment, forfeiture, loss, or false claim.

Please see our APPOINTMENTS page for details.

Authorization / Permission:

We have a reputation for providing quality services. By requesting and/or retaining our services either verbally or otherwise, you are granting us permission to troubleshoot, alter, repair, upgrade, update, configure, test, delete, remove and/or install any software, hardware, cables and/or peripheral devices as deemed necessary to facilitate service, and to charge for such services accordingly.

Cancellation / Suspension of Service:

We reserve the right to, at our discretion, temporarily or permanently deny or suspend suspend service without just cause or notification. This may include, but is not limited to extenuating circumstances such as illness, emergencies, labor disputes, unpaid balances, illegal activities, conflict and detrimental conduct of any kind. We reserve the right to charge for all services rendered, and costs incurred.

Conflict:

We have a history of satisfied customers that know we are patient, polite, fair, and easy to get along with. We focus on the customer's needs, and provide quality products and services at fair prices, thereby avoiding conflict. We will not put up with abuse, and we assume no liability for any claim arising from any form of communication breakdown. This is not limited to, but may include any misunderstanding, misinterpretation, miscommunication, disagreement and/or conflict about any information, policy, practice, procedure, estimate, time frame, appointment, schedule, product and/or any service we recommend or provide.

Damaged Items:

We have a secure shop with a controlled environment. We routinely observe proper grounding techniques and use clean, regulated AC power. We treat your equipment with great care, but if an accident were to happen, we would own up to our responsibility and arrange to have the item repaired or replaced ASAP. Electronic devices can fail at any point in time, just like a light bulb. We assume no liability for any damage or subsequent damages that may occur if an item happens to fail while under our care, or at anytime thereafter, except as provided by warranty.

Data Retrieval, Recovery, Backup and Restoration:

Please see our DATA RETRIEVAL, RECOVERY, BACKUP & RESTORATION page for more information.

Diagnoses, Estimates and Quotes:

Domain Names:

Domain names must be registered with a Registrar. We have established accounts with both Canadian and American Registrars. We offer domain name registration services and use our accounts to provide these services. The registered owner of the domain name will be you or your company, and arrangements can be made at any time to transfer your domain name to another account or registrar, unless there is an unpaid balance owed to us. Domain names are registered for a year or more, and must be renewed if you wish to keep your domain name. Under normal circumstances, we will attempt to contact you to make arrangements to secure the funds required to renew your domain name before it expires. If registration fees are not paid, your domain name registration will expire, and you may loose your domain name. We assume no liability whatsoever for any damage or subsequent damage caused by any failure to renew, or by any loss of ownership resulting from such failure.

Exchange Rates:

Our market is local and we only ship locally, so it's doubtful that we would ever need to use exchange rates to sell a product or service. We may on occasion have to purchase a product for a customer from another country. If your transaction involves a currency conversion, the rate will be determined by The Universal Currency Converter. The rate will be obtained when your invoice is prepared. You would also have to pay for any shipping, handling, taxes, duty, insurance, brokerage fees, or any other fees incurred.

File-Sharing and Copyright:

If you didn't pay for the music and movies on your computer, they're probably stolen. If it's in a shared folder, you risk prosecution, unless you are the duly licensed distributor or the copyright holder. You are responsible for what's on your computer, so watch your kids! We assumes no liability whatsoever for any damage or subsequent damage caused by file-sharing programs and their use.

File-Sharing and Warranties:

We do not recommend, install or support any peer-to-peer file-sharing programs. There are too many problems associated with the use of these programs. We consider the practice of downloading files from stranger's computers and allowing the world to access your computer abusive, and we reserve the right to void warranties on systems that exhibit evidence of such reckless behavior.

Guarantees, Warranties and Returns:

Security:

You are responsible for the security of your data and systems. If you are a home user, aside from your precious photos and bank accounts, what do you regularly do to protect your family's safety? If you run a business, would your insurance or the law find you negligent, or would they find that you consistently take what they consider reasonable steps to protect your business, your data, your staff, and your customer's privacy. Is your server bolted down? When was the last time you checked your network and systems for vulnerabilities? It is up to you to proactively embrace an ongoing regiment of dependable security solutions. Nobody can guarantee 100% security, but we can provide a variety of solutions to enhance your security.

Service and Repairs:

The specific issues that are reported are what service will focus on. If it is subsequently determined that additional service is required, we will try to obtain approval before proceeding. If we are unable to obtain approval, we reserve the right to make a judgment call, and halt or proceed with service as we see fit, and charge for additional parts and services as required. It usually only takes us two or three business days to repair a computer. If you need even faster service, please see our AFTER-HOURS, RUSH & EMERGENCY SERVICE page.

We keep a variety of commonly needed items in stock. If we don't have it in stock, we can usually get it within two or three business days (Proprietary parts may take longer). It also usually only takes us two or three business days to build and configure a new computer. That's fast service.

Sub-contracting:

We reserve the right to sub-contract service at any time. We only retain the services of sub-contractors that we believe can satisfy our high standards. Sub-contractors are not our employees or representatives, and we assume no liability for their actions.

Training and Classes:

Sorry, but we no longer offer this service.

Viruses and Spyware:

We have been successfully removing malicious code and enhancing security for years. When we clean a system we are very thorough, however we cannot guarantee that a computer will remain clean. We have no control over what you do with your computer, so if you open an infected file, you re-infect your computer. If we have to clean a system again, we will charge for our services again, so please be careful.
