- Broadband Internet connection (forget dial-up, it's too slow)
- Speakers and a voice-canceling microphone, or headset with a microphone, or a VoIP phone connected to an ethernet or USB port, or a regular analog phone connected to a VoIP adapter
- A network DVG-1402S_L Broadband VoIP Router or computer with QoS installed. The Quality of Service, or Packet Scheduler service gives VoIP packets priority over other network traffic.
