In other words, these pages do not exist until a user submits a query. At that point a database application on the server generates a page for the user to temporarily view. Most search engines cannot find and index pages that don't exist. The odd search engine that has the capacity to actually find such pages, can only crawl one or two levels of your site at the most, and there is a limit to the amount of pages they will actually crawl. Security and Control There is no reason why the entire content of your website should not be created, changed, published and maintained from your own computers on your own premises. Implementation The focus is on getting your products online and selling as quickly as possible within a comprehensive and powerful support system. 1) Establish a domain name and an ISP account to host your site We can explain what this means. We can register your domain name and provide hosting solutions for you as well. 2) Install PageFab The database system and files can be installed quickly in single user or multi user configurations. 3) Create a shopping cart account A fully featured shopping cart can be set up and refined to match the look and feel of your website. Other options and refinements can be added as necessary. 4) Design, create, and approve website templates This is the part of the process that requires the most time. The templates define a consistent look and feel for your website, or for different portions of your website. 5) Populate your files and begin publishing to the web This can involve both direct keyboard entry and transfer from other sources. If a large amount of data is stored in spreadsheets, documents, or existing data files, it may be more cost effective to write import programs than to manually transpose information. 6) Register with search engines This process will accelerate your site's visibility on the web. Recurrent registrations help maintain that visibility if they are done regularly but not too often.
